House Rules

• Use hand sanitizer before and after entering the lounge

• Visitors are not permitted to bring their own cats into the lounge
 

• Do not pick up the cats – wait for them to come to you!
 

• Do not wake a sleeping cat (but feel free to take as many pictures as you like!)
 

• Please be very careful when opening and closing the inner lounge door
 

• Please be gentle when petting cats

 

• No flash photography

 

• Play with the cats at your own risk. Cats have sharp nails and teeth. Although we have carefully selected the most socially compatible cats to place in the cat lounge, there is always still a risk of injury when playing with cats.

 

• The cat lounge is a QUIET ZONE. Please use your inside voice!

 

• Do not feed cats or leave food unattended. We have a strict feeding schedule and diet plan for all our cats. They may not eat any food or treats brought in from the outside. We have small treats available for purchase if you want to feed the cats yourself.
 

• Kids are welcome, but children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

 

• No running is allowed in the cat lounge and no chasing after cats. This is the cats’ home and they are free to go wherever they please. Do not hold them down or restrict their freedom of movement in any way.

 

• Please follow the direction of café staff and volunteers at all times.

 

• Staff at the Sault's Cat-urday Cat Cafe may issue a warning if any rules are not being followed. If you or your children continue to break our rules, our staff will ask you to kindly exit the cat room.
